Tasks > Annual Review
KEY TASKS 3 : ANNUAL REVIEWOnce a year, it is good practice to encourage people to review their giving. Some churches or dioceses may wish to do this using an annual "Stewardship Sunday", others will want to be more flexible in their timings. Different ApproachesThere are a number of different approaches that can be taken to this annual review. Simply repeating the same process each year would quickly become staid and lose impact. It is therefore important to choose an approach which is appropriate for the current stage in the life of the church. Here we provide links to some particular resources parishes might find helpful : A Parish Funding Programme. This programme has been helping churches in the Diocese of Guildford gain excellent results. They have kindly offered to share it with the wider church. There is a full manual and downloadable templates. TRIO (The Responsibility is Ours) is not currently available on-line, but binders can be ordered from the Southwark Diocesan office. This provides you with detailed instructions and templates for running a stewardship campaign. Giving in Grace. Developed and maintained by the Diocese of Liverpool, Giving in Grace offers on-line all of the resources for running a major program, of for an annual review. The Rural Giving Programme is designed particularly for smaller, rural churches. This is part of the Stewardship Toolkit for Rural Churches. The Money Revolution is not in itself a pledge based giving campaign, but rather a teaching/home study programme on a distinctively Christian view of money in its widest form. It can be combined with the generic booklet and pledge form. Stewards in a Slump provides a talk and a booklet of seven personal reflections. Again, this can be combined with the generic booklet and pledge form. |
